Why the hell wouldn't he collaborate with artist in other genres, even try something more electronic oriented, after 6 mega-popular records (not counting Infinite) you can't really introduce something new by sticking to the same thing.

nothing i wrote shows or says that i don't like the "new" em. i love alot of his newer songs and i don't really have much against him doing songs with artists from other genres as long as it isn't as bad as LTWYL or WBD. For me LTWYL isn't rap anymore as stupid as it sounds and WBD lyrically isn't that bad it's just that the beat is total bullshit, with all due respect for the producer who did this master piece :facepalm

i just don't want him to do anything with artist from other genres because alot of these songs, not every song, but in my opinion these songs are just too, i don't know, maybe ... mainstream.
he should stay in his genre imo ...

I think Eminem + Rock is the best combination.

First off, WBD might be my favorite Eminem song, I love it, and I consider the beat to be a masterpiece. I'd rather like to hear huge beats and crazy raps than the beat like the one in Asylum with almost whispered lyrics.

And second, the ''mainstream'' stuff got the guy 700 million views on YT (just Recovery singles) and the best selling album of the year. Do you really expect him to make music to fit only the truest fans, when he can make a record for everyone, and make it sound good?

you like the beat and i don't, we just have a different taste :D and I agree with you on the crazy raps thing, who wouldn't want to hear some crazy lyrics .. the thing is, for me beats like WBD are just too loud and are kinda hurting the rap. same goes for our house ... just feels like many instrumentals thrown together.

and as far as songs like SFTM goes, the hook is a sample so it doesn't really count as a feature, it's still more like a pop hook but it's not a feature

Why is it one of the worst songs? Don't say because of Rihanna, we've been over her inclusion a million and one times.

not because of rihanna, even tho she's shit :p

it's the worst song if you compare it to the other songs on recovery ...
not saying it's a shitty song, just that it's the worst song on recovery

If anything he should work with metal bands... mainly trash metal like Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, or Iron Maiden
