Which songs on Recovery and BME:HTS remind you of old Eminem

Postby NeonGameWave » Oct 5th, '12, 18:40

This is a very interesting, fun and cool topic I just wanted to throw out there. Which songs on Recovery and Bad Meets Evil: Hell the Sequel remind you of Eminem`s older work, for example his older songs? Another question is which songs from Recovery remind you of songs on The Eminem Show because those two albums seem to be compared a lot, for example,

Almost Famous-Sing for the moment

W.T.P-Square Dance

Untitled-Business

25 to Life-Saying Goodbye to Hollywood

Love the Way You Lie-Cleanin Out My Closet

Cinderella Man-Till I Collapse

Space Bound-Superman

Seduction-Drips

You`re Never Over-Hailies Song

Won`t Back Down-Soldier

Do you agree with this list and the comparisons, which songs are better?

These two sound nothing alike.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

I don't agree with any of the comparisons in this thread.... not even one.

That "Untitled" track at the end of Recovery was the only song Em has done in nearly a decade that I actually found funny as hell. Alot of his funny tracks miss there mark with me since Encore. That one actually made me laugh

Going Through Changes & Deja Vu are as good an emotional/personal track as anything he ever made. And even tho most people hated the idea of Em doing a duet with a pop singer I thought Love the way you Lie was well done for what it is.

Only problem I have with Em alot of the time is really the content and production, but I dont complain about it. I think he spends too much time these days concentrating on how he says things instead of what he's saying. I respect that, it leads to alot of incredible rhyme schemes and flows & what not. But I wont lie and pretend I like it as much as his other shit.

Did you draw names out of a hat to get some of those comparisons? :confusion: I agree with a couple of them, and revised it (in my views):

W.T.P-Without Me

25 to Life-Saying Goodbye to Hollywood

Cinderella Man-Till I Collapse

Seduction-Superman

You`re Never Over-Hailie's Song

Won`t Back Down-Soldier

These are the only real comparisons i could find.

actually TES and Recovery cant be compared when kept side by side. Both are similar in the sense that they are mostly about his life and shit with lots of substance :shifty: but both albums are from totally different era where Eminem was a different person going through different things in each era. both also sound different. Like SSLP & Relapse are Similar in certain terms but sound nothing alike.

To answer the OP about which songs reminds me about old Eminem. i think it should be The Warning, Drop The World, Airplanes, Forever and Most of Recovery. In all of these it Literally felt like the old Eminem actually came back and started spitting. but actually it felt like that because he suddenly dropped the accents for these songs. he can always sound like himself.

Recovery: Cold Wind Blows, Talkin' 2 Myself (though I don't particularly like it...nor do I dislike it), On Fire, W.T.P., Going Through Changes, Seduction, Cinderella Man, 25 To Life, So Bad (MAJORLY reminds me of old Em), Untitled, Session One, and Ridaz

Hell The Sequel: Welcome 2 Hell, Fastlane (name dropping and humor), The Reunion, I'm On Everything (1st verse), A Kiss, Echo
