Amadeo wrote:EminemInsider talks of Illmaculate in a "God mode"...I think that Cruger is in that kind of mode in his battle against Charron. Fantastic battle. Charron was good, and had some nice lines. Some funny parodies throughout (Bender/Warcraft video)...but Cruger blacks out and tears him to shreds.

I'd love to see this Cruger vs. another one of the greats (Illmaculate/Kid Twist/whatever).

Mmm. I'd be very suprised if Kid Twist doesn't make the trip over to Don't Flop in 2013 & Cruger is the obvious choice. If not, WD4. That match-up needs to happen, it's perfect stylistically.

I'd say Cruger's 3rd against Oshea is up there with his best. Too bad there is no video footage of it. That battle was hilarious.

Gave Oshea the first two rounds in that battle tbh - "And his album's called the rape tape, is he taking the piss?/Imagine him raping a bitch, she'd end up breaking his ribs and taking his shit". And the promo OT: "Mine would have birds and DJs/His? Eurgh and Decay" is amazing..

Crugs 3rd is great though - "Whenever he tries to get clever with rhymes, it's followed 'I'm not gunna lie, that was a terrible line'"

I gave Cruger all three personally.

I thought Oshea's first was pretty weak and generic. The "as shit as the sequels" was a good line though.

Cruger's pint scheme was awesome. Just how creative he got with it.
The "rob the bank with a pint under his shirt" was hilarious. He perfectly executed it, as you thought he had moved on from the scheme.

His second verse was probably his weakest and could have gone either way. The 'club for midgets' and the "john lock/from lost/got squashed" lines were very good.

Twist addressing the 'repeating yourself' and DNA-like wordplays was really on point.

I was really worried he was going down that path when he started that line though.

edit: fuck Twist's third was awesome.

I didn't really like the battle that much tbh. Twist had some good stuff in the 2nd and 3rd though. Just think he's trying to fit into this new-er/worse style that's engulfed the scene (as he touched upon in the pre-interview). I think he was better in his Bulletz battle.

His double flip in the 3rd, though >>>

Twist hasn't changed to 'bad wordplay' that much.... ....has he?

I still find the majority of his current work is filled with funny / clever lines. It's just getting less well-received.

You don't need to be overly aggressive and shout at the top of your lungs like Dizaster does to have presence.
