Now this is the collab I've been waiting for!
DETROIT, MI - Details appear sketchy, but a website called Curbed Detroit reported Monday that Eminem and 50 Cent filmed a video at the Michigan Central Station train depot.
The Curbed site, citing two unnamed sources, claims crews for the video used the train depot and surrounding Corktown spots for the shoot.
The report also mentions a helicopter flying around the neighborhood from 8 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday that caused a disturbance for residents.
An excerpt from the Curbed report:
"Turns out, that shoot was for a music video with Eminem and 50 Cent , and it would seem our very own abandoned train station, Michigan Grand Central, had a starring role was shot by helicopter."
As of 11 a.m. Monday, Mlive Detroit couldn't confirm Curbed's report about the video shoot with anyone in Eminem's camp. Stay tuned.
The Curbed report also claims a Corktown resident with the Instagram username "spencerolinek" shot photos of the train depot while crews were there working on the video.
Photos on the Instagram site appear to show a helicopter flying around the train depot; others show trailers and cars around the building at a time that appears to be dusk or dawn.
Another excerpt from the Curbed report, posted 10 a.m. Monday:
"An anonymous tipster writes in to report a second shooting location in Corktown: between the abandoned pawn shop and Gaelic League on Michigan Ave. The crew was seen at 5:30am.
"They soaked the road and had a spotlight on that area. From my window (loft above Astro Coffee), I couldn't see Eminem or 50, but I can say that the chopper continuously hovered over our building during that time."
