i need help wit my essay...i need 3 reasons as 2 why cellphones should be allowed in school??

there will be less people in the office using the phone

Yes they should be...


1.) Teachers are allowed to use them during class changes, lunch, and even in class, why can't we?
2.) I know that sometimes at schools if you need to call home they put you on speaker which is so embarassing, so using one to call home is more private.
3.) What happens if there's an accident in your car on the way to school or after school and you need immediate help, you need a phone, and sometimes schools don't allow phones in cars on school grounds...

we're allowed to use cellphones...but we gotta tell the teacher bout' it first..like if I'm gettin' a important call at school, I just tell my teacher, and I'm allowed to use my cellphone, but that's just in class...outside the class...I can do what the fuck I want with my cellphone...lol...

Not really help but a rant, after seeing 20/20 on Friday and having cell phones banned in my school.

2 weeks ago cell phones were banned in my school. This caused lots of trouble with kids and parents. Everyone was like Some people have cellphones for safety, and so parents can track where the kids are before and after school. I had a problem on Thursday, I wanted to go to a friend's house, since I always need to tell my mom where i'm going afterschool so she don't get worried I was gonna use the office phone to call her. But nooo the teachers wouldn't let us use the office phone, first they ban cellphones, and now we can't even use the office phone. The result, my mom got mad cause she didn't know where I was.

Not only can you call because of emergiencies, but other family members can reach you if other emergencies occur.

cellphones aren't allowed at my school but we still take them i think it should be allowed in case of emergencies or u're going to a friend's house after school and need to let ur parents know...

they want to ban it, cause there were several cases when students 'played' with teachers and were recording it.. like this time when they put recycle bin on some english teacher's head

or umm.. few months ago there was a big hype, cuz a teacher was talkin to a student and wanted him to answer a question and the student was like "no " and after a few mins the teacher flied off the handle and began to plack him.. i guess they're afraid of more such situations..

but anyway, i think they should be allowed, cause why shouln't they be?! i mean sometimes you really need to call your parents or whoever and what?.. in case of emergency you should always have it.. they complain that they ain't got money, so now they'd have to pay higher bills for the phone. i think they should shut the fuck up and allow us to use them..

No, people survived well without mobiles, especially those 14 year old prats. If there is an "emergency" your parents or person that is trying to reach u can call the office, buying milk on ur way home is not emergency.

With mobiles students become dumbass losers that are concetrating on dumb games in the class, and wen they dont want to learn the teacher ends up repeating himslef, thus slowing down eduction in class. School, is about scooling and nothing else, your personal life should go after it or during break in a conversation mono-a-mono, not via telephone.

Sometimes a phone is neccessary.....and teachers at my school use them in lessons....

I don't think phones should be used during school. there is no point unless of an emergancy and like others said, if there was an emergancy than someone would call the office and the office would get you as soon as they could.
but if you have a phone just take it to school, keep it in your pocket turned off and when school ends just turn it on. the school cant do anything about that if you use it after school lets out to call your parents because its after school hours and the rule shouldnt apply.

I hate wen people have they phones ringing on the lesson, thats straight up disrespect and cry for attention like "omg loook at me my phone is ringing, must be something really imporatant xD"
