Well, that's the price of a normal album here.. I wanted to buy Lupe's, and it was 20 euros. So yeah. I don't really know about the US though.

How about the fact that he's white and is considered by most of his peers (GOAT rappers) to be one of the greatest to ever do it, despite it being a predominantly black genre.

I'm sure some quotes from said rappers would help support this point, but I'm too lazy and quite frankly it's not like you guys are the ones who need to be taught about Eminem's talent. Mainly the predominantly retarded group of music listeners in this world.

Well yeah but this can be shown to them if listed. And it could also be put in the FAQs in the section. I doubt people go there but.

Jeez, we all already agreed on MMLP beating them with the first week sales, so chill.

It's a fact. If you release a double CD album then each copy you sell counts as 2 sales. Ever heard the line ' You ain't gonna sell two copies if you press a double album'? I guess that will start making sense to you now.

No, it's not a fact. lol.

Details are important.

RIAA certifes albums based on their net-shipment multiplied by the amount of discs (that the album in question is containing). Note that we're talking about shipments here, not over-the-counter sales.

SoundScan, on ther other hand (which is the source for Billboard, the official US charts) counts 1 album with 2CD's, 10CD's, or even a 100CD's as just 1 sold album. This is actually the industry-standard around the world.

So, there is no "correct" way of counting sales. My personal preference though, is to just count the amount of copies the album sold, not discs.

So do you have any idea about the SoundScan sales for the OutKast album?

Fun fact: Taylor Swift's new album RED's first week sales are the highest sales in the first week since TES. with over 1.1 million.

Most consecutive number 1 albums for a solo artist in the UK (6)
Most consecutive number 1 debuts for a solo artist in the UK (6)
Only artist in soundscan history to have the best selling album two different years, 2002 and 2010
Only rap artist to have two diamond albums
First artist to sell 1 million digital albums
Biggest selling digital rap album with Recovery
First rapper to win an Oscar

There are way more, but that's all I can think of.

Slaughterhouse should've put the 16 tracks on Welcome to: Our House on 2 CDs....8 on each. They would've sold way more that way. :shifty:
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

In order to qualify for a double-disc certification, the album need to be 100+ minutes. Not so sure Slautherhouse's Welcome to: our house would pass that criteria. Again, details are important ;)

Oh well.

lol no I was just referring to how one copy of a double album counts as 2 for sales. And I used the word "cheated" just for comedic effect. I wouldn't actually say they cheated for album sales or anything. But the point still stands, if MMLP was a double album, it would be certified double diamond. That's an achievement I would say.

Blu, Outkast didn't beat MMLP, that is a double album so they count the sales twice! That's cheating in my book, & if we were to be fair then MMLP would sell over 20 mill in the U.S. I bet you think "Hey Ya" is Hip Hop & a great song LMFAO
