Em seems to be bad for artists lately tbh lmao. He, in my opinion, fucked up Yela's and SH's debut on Shady; it's quite obvious that his latest style and thinking was all over those releases, and it was that thinking and that production and intent that ruined both those albums.

I agree with this. Yelawolf always seemed like he was doing his thing, he barely got em on a verse. Slaughterhouse on the other hand had lots of em influence (just look at skylar gray, she had two songs on that album)

I don't think Eminem forced SH to do what they did, I think they did it because they wanted to. It was Royce's idea to do Lighters, I think it was him and Joe who wanted to "expand their sound". But what do I know, this is me guessing.

mostly royce.. i dont think joe wanted to do that at all. he was hesitant to even sign with shady. although now his new album is going to have a mainstream sound (he just said that his die hard fans are going to hate it on jbtv) so idk. but yeah based on an interview a while ago they said they did a bunch of songs and then gave them all to EM and he chose what to put on there. i dont feel like finding the link lmao

I never said that em forced SH to do what they did but he definitely influenced him. When slaughterhouse joined shady, it seemed like everyone of those guys' dreams had just been fulfilled. They wanted to work with em. Yela on the other hand, didn't want em to overshadow him, and wanted to do his thing.

This is all speculation obviously, I do not know what actually happened. But from interviews i've seen from both, this is the impression i'm getting.
