''New Day'' is a great radio single actually... I predicted they''ll look for another first single though right after they pushed back the album & it went like Alicia's album is gonna come first. Her version is on her album too, so it would be funny if 50 comes with his version as a first single of SKI soon after. It might not be on the album... most likely actually but it wouldn't be not 'cuz it didn't make the cut but 'cuz it was removed from it, although after initially it didn't just make the cut but was confirmed as a first single as well. It moved digits too, I don't know if it keeps moving but eventually it might get a gold plaque as well if it does. As a matter a fact I was wondering why they stopped pushing it right when it was poppin' but I guess they realized they sat on it for too long so Alicia had fucked it all up when she released her version of the song before they released 50's.

Great news by the way... I would easily get a radio single by 50 & EM even if it's like softer 'cuz it just gotta go crazy on the charts worldwide & most of it 'cuz I know they'd want to balance it out with a harder one which could be the one 50 said might make the cut as a bonus track.

Damn... ''First Date'' official video didn't just came along with ''My life'' info but it's now kind of officially confirmed to be on the album too as you could read ''2012 Interscope records'' at the end of it which makes it the buzz single of SKI.

You never liked 50 so I guess it's normal for you to feel like & say ''First date'' is horrendous. I personally think it's a great song & was particularly recorded for the West Coast 'cuz of it's Bay area vibe & was obviously influenced by E-40 & Too Short's ''Bitch'' or influenced by Too Short overall.
I do agree 50's repetitive but first this is what byers wanna hear to buy records & secondly even the most creative rappers like EM, Jay, etc. etc. have been repetitive at times. If it wasn't for what the public wanna hear & how they put artists in their own stereotypes then this should be mastered & released as single like last year.

On another note on ''First date'' 50's been repetitive talking about bitches, not about been rich 'cuz only has two lines bragging about money while ''Money'' is a street song recorded for a mixtape so basically talking about money, power or respect is a must. In general it's not even possible to release as much music as 50 releases & not to be repetitive esp. if we talk about the money braggin', bitches & guns considering the sub-genre 50's music would be stereotyped.

Power of the Dollar is a good album, Get Rich or Die Tryin' is very cohesive and overall enjoyable and Before I Self Destruct has a couple of great tracks, in particular: "Stretch", of which the hook is genius. But other than that, he's incredibly, incredibly repetitive and lacking in all areas.

I like 50 as a person, I've watched a lot of his interviews, I just can't stand the laziness. You seriously think this is the best he can do? if it is, he has no talent. I could make this shit.

Seriously listen to those verses, you actually like somebody just telling you they run their city and have a shiney chain every line, with the laziest structure, rhymes and delivery ever?

50 can't afford not to talk about money, bitches or guns 'cuz that's his own world & the core of his fans, the ones who always buy his stuff are always disappointed if he goes different direction. EM is blessed with his lyrical genius & with his charisma to talk about from like been raped from his step dad to whatever the hell comes to his mind without bothering how he's gonna be received but 50 definitely can't afford that. I mean do you think shitty enough rapper like Rick Ross would be even relevant if he didn't talk about money, bitches, guns, power, etc.?
For example Nas is from Queens just like 50 & he represents the same places & lifestyle but even him been lyrically genius could not really afford to fully shy away from talking about money, bitches, guns, gangs, etc. & at a point when Nas by destiny supposed to become like the next Malcolm X he had to choose to be the next Escobar!
You pointed out 50's official albums but if you dig deeper & listen all to his mixtapes you'll be blown away, I promise you that. 50 always goes outside his stereotype way on them even though you'd still hear braggin & all that on them too... and as you know his hooks are genius. By the way I love ''Stretch'' too & ''BISD'' in general.
