I would love him to collab with dope artists like yelawolf and all other ones that always comes up.
And I would love to hear him go back to the early days, being angry and maybe a bit political.
I think he should be political and look outwards more... he's been so 'mememememememe' since The Eminem Show. He's always been a very personal artist but if you look at his first two majors, he looks a lot more to society (not just pop-culture references), and comes up with original stories...
Even on The Eminem Show he mixes a lot of politics with personal, a lot of social commentary. He's very good at that. Wannabe politics expert rap-fans like to say Em knows fuck all about politics, but if you're talking about the thousands of regulations passed in congress every 12 seconds for bullshit financial policies, etc. then most people, do not.
There's this great illusion and misconception that politics is more complicated than it actually is. Eminem's best work absolutely proves he has the ability to translate his viewpoints in to very astute commentary on broad issues of society, from race, to war, to hypocrisy...
But, when all's said and done: I don't want to be able to predict it. In GENERAL I would like bigger, and more political themes, and actually just, more nailed themes in general where he uses his talents to nail a subject to the wall, like he did with "Love the Way You Lie" / domestic violence. That wasn't just some random 'love track', he really hammered that theme very densely.
I don't just want basic songs and rapping though, I really want some creative ideas that I know he's capable of. And you know he is due to the creativity he can show line for line or moment to moment, but the songs in general are a little more generic these days, although he still has many moments of brilliance, and has created some superb music since his comeback.
I get his pain, his struggle, his life history, his fame; he's done that so much, and so well already, so I would really like him to dig deeper, and think bigger, and be less self-obsessed.
