Really, Numb is the worst verse he's had and it's still not terrible. Everything else is fine to me. His flow was good after "rear rear rear" but everything else about it was questionable.

And no, Slik, it's really not. The music itself might be different but Em's attitude and style hasn't changed. He's just not good anymore. People are grasping at straws trying to find a silver lining. I can't get my head around it either. I keep hoping for a surprise, a return to form but his best now is just OK. Even the decisions he makes like who to work with, who to produce doesn't make sense. His standards are low. You are who you surround yourself with & he surrounds himself with artists who depend on him to make any noise in the industry instead of working with accomplished people who could possibly light a fire under him. He's too busy trying to guide people whom the industry and public have already repeatedly rejected. And I will never understand why he's wasting time with 30 second verses on pop songs. He's acting like a guy trying to stay relevant when he clearly doesn't need to go that route....yet.

Being on another artist's song, small collabs, doesn't mean that the verses should be wack ass fuck, or that it seems like they were written in 2 minutes while he was taking a shit.

I wouldn't even expect a whole lot out of this. I'd go as far to say just wait for his album to truly judge...let's think about it though, this wasn't a traditional hip hop song. It was a collaboration with a pop singer. Can't take him too seriously until he starts rapping with RAPPERS. The 50 collab will be a better indication of where he's at but even then he could change SO much between November and his album next year that there's no telling how he'll sound. I'm excited for the material tbh. Everyone else is scared but I know Em is saving his best shit for his album.

No artist stays good forever. He can still make a good song or two I'm sure. But they will be few and far in between.


Like I said once before, Eminen had a once in a life time sound. You can't expect him to keep that level up his entire life.
