I need to hear something serious from Em come out. There's been too much of the playful shit. I'm glad the 50 Cent song (supposedly) comes out before this, because I want to hear something passionate from him, and if there's going to be a song where he's passionate, it'll be "My Life".

Recovery had plenty of humorous songs on it. It had a nice balance, I'd say.

At that time, I wanted just one or 2 "more funny" tracks just like The real slim shady for example... or something like the songs we have been listening to for a year but 1 or 2 songs were perfect to me !
Unfortunately, we have more than 2 tracks and they are like pop songs

but it's Skylar's song, not Rihanna's. I think that makes a huge difference. Can't blame Em for having a stupid verse on "Numb" when the whole song sounds like a joke. Skylar would never make an embarrasing, pathetic song. Her song will be an upgrade and so will be Em's verse.

Not an excuse. Eminem can say "No, can't we have another concept or something?" like he did with Nicki Minaj. He accepted to jump on the song thinking it was good enough for him to drop a verse.

From what Skylar has said it sounds like Em had a big influence and this song is a different direction for her so you can't really compare it to what she's done in the past. It's funny though that a few people who were looking forward to this now have reservations because of their disappointment in Em's verses and/or participation in certain songs. Sometimes I think his influence is too great for smaller artists. Rihanna fans will still buy her album but will Em fans give a crap outside of his verse for this?
