Sober Encore with a more productive Eminem would've been great. Those beats were great.

Either way, I can't wait for his next album. We still have 0 idea of what to expect.

Nope. I don't think these collabs are anything like his album...
Menzo wrote:Kill You wrote:Yeah. None of his solo albums have been truly bad though. Not even Encore was really that bad. Recovery and Relapse are good albums so I see no reason why his next solo won't be good too. Hell: The Sequel was pretty bad ass as well and that came out just last year. I'm not gonna base it off of a few shitty little features.
Yeah, but the bad stuff on Encore was really bad. I haven't listened to that album in years.
Geno wrote:Just because Em scrapped Relapse 2 doesn't mean Relapse should be considered worse though. That logic's kinda weird. You know me man, I woulda loved to hear it as well. Em said himself that he felt like Relapse had some good jokes, but they weren't funny anymore, so maybe he looked at Relapse 2 and thought it was good, but it wasn't memorable or he just wasn't happy with it anymore. Can't blame him for not wanting to put out a project he isn't 100% happy with. I appreciate that a lot more than "eh whatever, just put it out, I need the money". You know?
Menzo wrote:Let's say his next album doesn't suck...will you guys find reasons for it to suck?Sam. wrote:But his features before Relapse and Recovery surely did reflect his approach, didn't it?
Not really.
What was before Relapse? The song with Trick Trick? Sounds nothing like what Relapse was supposed to sound and the content wasn't even remotely close. As for his pre-Recovery collaborations, his sound and delivery definitely but not so much the content. The only one that would be close to Recovery would be "Airplanes Part 2" but even so, not so much.

Kill You wrote:#EminemBase Would you say he has that attitude now in his music? That "I don't give a fuck, I'll rap about what I want" shit?

Give it another chance man, delete Medicine Ball, Beautiful, Hello (it's great but it's a grower) and We Made You and replace them with Music Box, Buffalo Bill and Elevator.
It'll sound much better.
