^lol that does make me feel better :)
That all being said- "Peep Show" did have one good bit lyrically:
"You makin' me feel like I'm in middle school still,
you squeal like a little girl, you're pitiful, chill-
we gon' fuck, I just popped this little blue pill"

..And after that it's pretty fucked.

Aye the truth is, there aren't that many good rappers around at the moment. Nobody on 99 Em's level. This includes Em himself, unfortunately. Some of the old favourites like Xzibit, Dre, Snoop, Obie aren't really up to their previous level either.

Kanye is fucking shite and I would genuinely rather listen to Em experimenting, making mistakes but at least trying to innovate than Kanye's inane tedium, along with a lot of other rappers. The reason we come back to Em is because he's unique and he's potentially brilliant.

Relapse, Recovery, Hell: The Sequel. 3 ridiculously different projects in 3 years. Nobody else does that.

The best thing is that he knows what impact his music is making on the fans, hard-core fans mainly. He's definitely trying to make sure he doesn't skim his fan base and makes music for new fans, because their taste is different and is heavily influenced by Young Money, GOOD Music, etc. That's dedication for the art for you. He knows what he has to do make a dope Album. Many(small amount) people assumed that since he scrapped R2, Recovery might not be that great, but it was monstrous and proved everyone who had a small amount of doubt in their mind wrong.

The thing I noticed about Em though is yeah all his punchlines and puns recently have been criticized as stupid as shit but he's still often rhyming at least 2-3 syllables while using the bad punchlines. Yeah I get it rhyming isn't everything, but he manages to combine the bad puns with a skilled level of rhyming so it makes it a little less unbearable in my opinion.

I love this now!
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Oh yeah, let me just disregard Kanye's obvious hunger and charisma on the beautifully laid out production, not to mention his much more enjoyable and entertaining lyrics. Plus, he doesn't have enough multi-syllables and he's bending words to make them rhyme, a technique Eminem never used in his life, because you know, Eminem doesn't bend the rhymes; the rhymes bend themselves for Em. Eminem bends it the level that is safe, never (sometimes)forces them to rhyme. Understand the difference.

His hunger? Hunger for what?

Who said Eminem wasn't forcing rhymes recently? The point is, Kanye is doing it too. He's guilty of doing all the things that Eminem is bashed for. He gets a pass from people like you because his beats are better and he's black...two things that have absolutely nothing to do with rapping.

You, of course, are the leader of the "Wow-Aren't-I-Kewl-And-Rebellious-For-Hating-Eminem-On-His-Own-Fan-Site-Forum?!" brigade.

Don't you hate Eminem though mate?

To borrow an EminemInsider analogy...you're still going to watch Jordan play for the Wizards, even if he's not as good as he was in the Bulls. He's Michael Jordan.

I was never anti-Eminem for the sake of being anti-Eminem, like a lot of the teenage doofuses on this board.

And most of the teenage, white, suburban middle class guys across the internet who jump on Em's back at every opportunity as a badge of Hip Hop Honour.

But didn't you like Relapse/Recovery/BME? None of any of those 3?

Because his verses on Take From Me, I'm on Everything, Echo, and Fast Lane are crap, right?

Who exactly is praising Kanye just because he's black? The reason he gets so much praise is because of his execution, his presentation. Kanye spits his verses naturally, whereas Em does it in a dull manner, in ways we've already heard before. Yeah, we all understand, Eminem can certainly rhyme as much syllables as he wants to, but his delivery - his charisma, is just downright awful these days.

People seem to think that just because he's "funny" on tracks that he sounds really comfortable and enjoys rapping about that stuff. But, it's just not entertaining to listen to. Especially when you take in other factors, like his age and the fact that he's already done this type of childish stuff ten years ago.

You have the wrong impression of me Amadeo. I don't purposely hate on Eminem for no reason, I'm just forced to believe from the latest collaborations and songs that his work ethic consists of him writing a generic verse every time he's on the shitter.

So Em spits in a dull manner, but Kanye's execution is exciting?
