I still dont see the big deal with this album.

First part...AGREED!!! Quite possibly one of the best demonstrations of Kendrick's abilities. Coherent storytelling, knack for detail, good standout lines " If you tell me nutrition is good for me i'll tell you to suck my dick and continue eating"

On the second part, tbh... it does seem to be a lil overhyped. By that, i mean... how can GKMC get "universal acclaim" and Section 80 get "its a good album"? :confusion: I mean,in terms of sheer ambition of execution Section 80 is leaps and bounds ahead of GKMC. Yes, the writtin is more focused and the messages are clearer (arguably deeper) but to me GKMC lacks the STAR power Kendrick clearly possesses.

Co-sign.

Hopeful Kendrick Lanar isn't influenced by Dre too much so his next album isn't in 5 years.

I dont get that dude kendrick. His delivery is horrendous, lyrics pretty simple (including the subject matters he talks about), rhyme scheme boring, beats suck and hooks are crap yet people claim he's one of the greatest of our time like wtf?
I tried to get familiar with his music coz i was planning on going to see him live but maan i dont know.
He doesnt live up to all that hype he's getting.

he'll be on Dido's album :flutter: :flutter:

"Dido is finishing up her forthcoming fourth album Girl Who Got Away. And based on the tracklist she unveiled on Instagram Monday (December 10), the British singer is hoping to rekindle the crossover success she achieved with Eminem on “Stan”: the song “Let Us Move On” features a guest spot by Kendrick Lamar."

Hip Hop didn't win at all. Two albums did good but how many flopped? This is a bad year for Hip Hop sales wise.

TDE Working on Short Film To Complement GKMC :flutter:

That's not the only visual element Kendrick has planned. Part of good kid's appeal are the cinematic skits that piece the album's music together, so to play off of the album's strengths the TDE crew are working on a film that will complement the LP as well. "We actually started the visuals for this whole project," he said. "I called it a short film before I even started the actual foundation of the music."
