I used to find it funny how Em always says he's back and never leaving on an album and then a few songs later says he's never coming back.

As others said though it obviously is just how he feels at the time.

I think Em just contradict himself when he needs to.

Eminem in 2000 was defending the homophobical lyrics from his songs, but a lot of criticism got him live with elton john in 2001.

The love song thing: Recovery was the album to get him back at the spotlight, so he made a music that got public attention, more than the hip hop fans. If the general music and hip hop were like ten years ago, maybe LTWYL would never exist.

But, shit changes. Some Rappers nowadays are fuckin' soft, not like ''soft eminem'', soft fuckin' soft like soft shit.

He said he would never diss his mom JUST to get recognition. He didn't say he would never diss his mom period. He's saying if it is important/crucial to the song/etc. then he would do it. But he would never do something just to get controversy. Which could be considered silly since he does/has done that kind of stuff. But the fact you are just considering him saying anything about his mom a contradiction when it isn't. Only saying things for controversy would be considered the contradiction. so you're half-right ish
