You saying my advice is no good?
Ok to gain weight, you have to eat more calories than your body uses. The amount of activity you do etc wil affect what your caloric maintainence is, you can use a calculator to work it out. Lets say for arguements sake it is 2500/day.
If you eat 2500/day you will stay at the same weight, no matter what.
If you eat 2800/day you will be in whats called a lean bulk, you will gain some muscle but not much fat.
If you eat 3000+/day you will be on a bulk, you will gain the most muscle possible but chances are you will have more of an excess of calories than you need, so you will gain some fat too.
Calories that come from fat will either be used as energy or turned into fat.
Calories that come from carbs will either be used as fuel or turned into fat (to oversimplify).
Calories that come from protein will either be used to repair or build muscle (which is what you want), will turn into fat (if you eat loads and dont workout), will be used as energy (if you do loads of cardio) or you will just shit them out, tbh.
So, you want to eat an excess of calories that allows for some muscle growth but doesnt mea too much fat will grow (somewhere between 300 and 500 per day more that your maintainence level). You want these calories to be from carbs and protein instead of fat (however bear in mind hat there are 2x as many calories/gram of fat than per gram of protein or carbs). You need some fat though to be healthy (40% from carbs, 35% from protein, 25% from fat would be good).
Eat foods like chicken, eggs, fish (especially tuna), bacon is ok but bear in mind there is a higher amount of fat in there, bread and rice are good for getting in carbs, milkshakes are good protein sources but can also have a bit of fat in so watch out for that..
Basically gaining weight requires you to eat more. That added weight being muscle requires a lot of protein and some carbs with not too much fat, but also requires you to workout in order for the protein to become muscle.

I would be suprised if you were trying to build muscle to be honest.
sometimes you deserve it. And if you did that i would make you eat bacon.
