Did Eminem adopt the rap technique of Master Ace like many people say? Answer: No, not at all.

Yes, Master Ace did come before Eminem and Eminem did cite him as an influence, but actually the similarities between the two were because Master Ace borrowed from Eminem (if anything).

Masta Ace's song Acknowledge has a flow similar to Eminem's, but only in Eminem's SSLP and MMLP era. Eminem changed significantly from 2002 to now.

What the problem? Acknowledge (and any song from Disposable Arts) came out in 2001, even though Masta Ace had a lot of songs in the 90's.

People don't want to believe that an old rapper was influenced by a new rapper.

It wouldn't really matter if he did or didn't, every rapper borrows from another rapper. There is absolutely NO way that you can be 100% original in the rap game, another rapper is bound to have done it before you. You have to have some influences.
