It's sad when a Yelawolf single and a shitty site layout is a big day for shady content. smh

^He's looking from a marketing perspective too, though. A new website layout might be bigger from that perspective.

True enough, and it does look better than the old one.

It's not bad, by any means, he's rapping good and the vibe is natural, it's in no way compromised... but is feeling a little repetitive now, and didn't grab me in any way...

But it's not bad music, I think the project will be coherent. I just hope it's innovative!

While I like the song, I can see where you're coming from.

One thing that is encouraging about this is that this song is the first single. Now, think about how this song stacks up artistically compared to the singles off of 0-60, and how good that release was overall. Granted, this song is more of an ambient sort of track, but it's consistent with the idea of "trunk music". This reinforces the idea that he's approaching the projects with a specific concept in mind, which should alleviate some of the concerns we had about his comments in the Dubcnn interview about TMR possibly turning into Love Story.

Again though, I like the song. For a song like this to be the first single, traditionally the most far-reaching song off of an album, I'm feeling confident that Trunk Muzik Returns is going to be a project full of great music. God only knows that if we were going to get a party record, it would have been on the first single. Instead, we got some laid back and spacy music to ride around to. Seems to stay true to the original concept.

March 14th though, that's going to kill me.
