I never understood the whole emotional reaction surrounding wishing death on someone, or hoping that they die.

Unless you believe that shit actually makes a difference. In which case, I suppose that would be something I would refrain from saying as well. I don't though, so maybe that's the problem.

It's disrespectful, sure. But look at King Gordy, and what he does. The man doesn't deserve to die, but he doesn't deserve universal respect either. I'm sure we've all wished death on someone, anyway. None of you have magical powers though, so don't trip.

Of course he's not gonna get universal respect, but when the lack of respect turns into shooting the guy, well you can't help but feel bad and hope he's gonna be okay. He's a musician first and foremost, so I never like seeing that sort of thing happen.

Oh no, I'm not saying him being shot stems from lack of respect, or that people shouldn't feel bad for him. I'm saying that based on the types of things he says, it's not surprising when people don't respect him enough to not talk shit on him when bad things happen.
