Rhyming on 'Recovery'...

As Willy alluded to, a great example of Recovery's bad writing is the choppy flow and poor/lazy rhyme placements.

Menzo is kind of implying that this is a factor that's leads credence to Recovery having more complex rhymes. Which is stupid.

LTWYL, for all the hate it gets, actually has good rhyme placements, for the most part.

I'll say this. There's a lot of rhyming of Recovery....but about 85% of it fucking sucks sonically. Cramming a thousand rhymes into 20 seconds doesn't necessarily equate to good. I'll listen to songs like We As Americans, CWYF, Girls over MOST of Recovery tbh, lol.

Misaligning multis/choppy flow/poor rhyme placements technically do make it less 'simple'. But when you say it's 'more complex', it has positive connotations.

It's kind of like having bad grammar/spelling, and saying "yeah, but it's more complex than you're writing!1"

theres no way anyone can straight say theres more rhyming on recovery than relapse, yet im pretty sure i read a bunch of posts saying that.

recovery has some dope rhymes in just verses or full songs. on a legit lyrical level relapse kills recovery, but relapse was a concept album, recovery was made for individual songs. either way rhyming is sick on both, but relapse has more than probabaly any other em album

I love that song so much. The beat is amazing. He should avoid the Recovery route and make his own beats / keep it in the family.

one thing about recovery, it felt like a "concept" album only in the sense that the way the beats were, the feel of the album felt complete. which i why i said that, the beats of the leaked tracks would have stood out like a sore thumb
