No doubt, over the last 36 months, Eminem has inhaled plenty of flack from the hip hop demographic. And he's cognizant of it. Let's not sit here and pretend Recovery was even close to Vintage Eminem. Eminem will always have high criteria he will need to live up to. But this has all culminated into a blessing in disguise. Eminem is not always going to have stans who stick by him through thick and thin. Nor should he.
The best thing Em can do, is to make an introspective album, based on his decision to lash out against his old fans who weren't with him through thick and thin. And the beauty of an introspective concept like this, is the fact that Eminem really is pissed off at his fair weather fans. So none of it would be forced. This is what Eminem needs to do if he is ever to make a comeback. It's truly his best shot. It's fresh. It's real. And it would rekindle Eminem's true legacy while, preserving real hip hop as we know it. Or he can rap about being a Christian, which all of us unequivocally won't endure.
The more I thought about this, the more I realized that this would be Eminem's ideal route to take. I can't see him doing anything else tbh. I'm not suggesting that the whole album should be comprised of this concept. But the core of it should be. Furthermore, we would admire any other filler songs on the album, simply because they would presumingly have had to have been recorded while he was in Beast mode. This album is a 'Must Win' for Eminem. Sales mean nothing to true MC's. If he really does know or care about what goes on outside of his little bubble, he is going to have to step it up. And he's going to have to immerse himself if he wants to be great.
