TDE (the independent label of the Black Hippy) is now heading the rap department @ Interscope.

yeah and he recorded that song several months after the deal with Interscope.
He is anti-industry but all of the black hippy members were promised the full creativity control on their albums.
Top Dawg Entertainment was a really serious independent label :y:

In fact, TDE is now heading the rap department at interscope, now if you're signed to interscope, it's like being signed to TDE if you're a new rapper.
TDE just closed a joint venture deal with Interscope, all of the members still work for TDE (except kendrick, he works for both TDE & Aftermath) but all of their albums will be distributed via Interscope.

SchoolBoy Q : Setbacks + Habits & Contradictions
Jay Rock : Follow Me Home

Soul will never join Shady records tbh because TDE is probably the ideal label for an artist, Kendrick Lamar, Soul, School and Jay Rock are free to release whatever they want and they still have full support from Aftermath/Interscope.
Even Kdot has been given the total control over his album by Dr Dre
