I'm in my second year now and it's been a blast. What are your alternatives?

Im split between joining the RAF straight away, taking a couple of years of work and stuff then joining, or doing Uni then joining. Whichever way i do it, I will still go in as an officer, the pay wont be any different because of a degree... Not really wanting to join too early though and give up on part of being young. Im still not sure... The main reason people wouldnt go to University is the cost (£9000 per year, as well as accomadation and stuff), but the RAF would pay part of that for me and i can get a governement grant to pay a bit more of it as my family income is actually quite low at the moment.

Lol, joining the RAF is a pretty secure job. If i sign up for the sponsorship, they pay part of my university fees, im guarunteed a job for 4 years that pays around £30,000 per year after the training, then when i leave ive got 'Officer in the Royal Air Force' on my CV, which will help a lot.
The job im looking at atm is in the RAF regiment, so the infantry side of the RAF. Sure there is the danger to it, but thats not all there is too it.

I'm enjoying University a lot, I feel like it's worth it but for some people it just isn't the right thing.

Well, i'd say don't apply to Uni if you're going there just for the hell of it as you'll get kicked out if you get bad grades due to you not being sure about Uni (as in, you have no motivation to do good). And no Eva, university is not free in most countries.

Apply for work if you just wanna get more experienced in life.

Well no if i do it i will try as hard as i can at it, I wouldnt be completely unmotivated. Its just not necessary is what im saying.
