I've heard plenty of people call it soft. That's not necessarily a bad thing, and loving your kids doesn't instantly make a song soft, but that particular song is softer than butter on an 95 degree sidewalk.

Real talk? that's crazy i was in jail from like 07 to 2010 and i heard some dudes in there bump that song without a care in da world. People i know atleast don't think that way good music is good music.

I like the song i think it is dope.....There is another word to use other than soft for that song I can't think of it though....but I understand what everyone is saying here....I wouldn't bump it in my car either.

I don't mind it at all... it's dedicated to his daughter who was a very little girl at the time so it is what it is on purpose. I've listened to it a lot but I've never really bumped it in my car & shit... I've never heard it outside my house whatsoever to be honest.

I just think music is about mood when you in the club you wanna hear somethin to get wavy to, when ya workin out ya wanna hear somethin to pump ya up, when you wanna reflect and hear some real ish you wanna hear songs with that theme. Good music is never about this is soft or this is hard or this is lacks multis, or this is full of punchlines. From young i always appreciated all genres.

I agree for all the rest but I was surprised you heard that one in jail... I've heard stories about Cali & NY slammers & it sounds impossible for such song to be played there.
I am sure Dear mama has been played millions of times in Cali's jail facilities but honestly you caught me by surprise with Mockingbird.

That song is just a song you bump when you feelin a certain way piffin on herbs or feelin to hear some reflective ish. The funny thing is it's hella catchy cus of the chorus so i still wouldn't be surprised if people bump it in the car.

I've heard songs like "Kill You" and "Criminal" quite a bit in people's cars. And then mostly Relapse stuff.

It's probably that regions thing... you totally caught me by surprise. I'd say you're from the south but you come as an East coast hip-hop fan so far so I'm totally confused...

There are a whole list with albums people listen to when the puffing on herbs in Cali plus that song definitely won't apply on their G codes out there... I don't think black folks from NY will play it at all too.
