Kinda like Jay Electronica who never released his album because Jay doesn't let him do it. It sucks but it's like that.

you know why artists like Eminem & Kanye can still be relevant ? it's because every time they release an album, it's VERY DIFFERENT from the previous one.
Game and 50 have been releasing the same thing over and over, they have been releasing the same music for more than 7 years tbh

I bet that all of them wrote their verses in less than a few minutes, even the Eminem's verse was a very old verse and still, a lot of people made fun of 50 for every song tbh.
The hooks and the features save these songs imo.

We Up: kendrick is probably doing more than 150 shows this year and he was happy and proud to say that he was able to spend the whole day to write 2 verses for the bitch don't kill my vibe remix, it really means that he didn't care about We Up.
New Day: You can see his desperate thirst here because it's a recycle bin song, 50 can say whatever he wants, there is a reason why the track didn't make the cut for Detox.

50 is cool but as you said, he's lost his passion for making music 7 years ago, he is ready to work with every big artist because he wants to be successful again.
