I agree with that. But none of the songs on the two albums you just listed are heavy soul, blues, or jazz. And Em on dark beats is fucking awesome. i.e. Relapse, Refill.

No. Relapse/Refill had some of the best production Em's ever had. It was all Dre beats. Em would NEVER WORK ON A JAZZ BEAT. EVER.

Disagree with that. I feel Relapse had decent at best production. Not anywhere close to the production on his first 3 albums or 8 Mile soundtrack.
