Taking it back to his child hood but the theme being based on day to day life in Detrot's poorest hoods he lived. Just covering numerous things like unemployment, high crime rate, economic situation, gangs, broke homes.
Disregarding the fact that you ran away from an argument AGAIN, Eminem is not a gangsta rapper. Don't try to make him one. He lived a hard life, yes, but he is not 50 cent. He never got involved with gangs or thugs in his youth. We've heard enough about his early life. Em has always been about addressing all of America with his meaningful songs. Just look at this development:
SSLP: Mostly about Em himself and about some celebrities. Wacky but at the same time dark.
MMLP: More personal, also touches on society's problems and the state of music(i.e. Marshall Mathers) and more serious
TES: Moves on from society to attacking the US government; gets more serious and personal.
Encore: This was an album in 2004 that was never released. Ever. If it did, I'm sure it would have fucked up the flow of the last three albums and put a dent in Em's legacy forever. And I'm sure I wouldn't know exactly what the fuck the theme was supposed to be. And it would have a fucking stupid accent.
Relapse: A combination of all his previous rapping styles (high-pitched voice from SSLP, murderous shit from both SSLP and MMLP, album format from MMLP, personal topics from TES, the accent from the album that never happened) which formed a serial killer's perspective of Em's career in an exaggerated format. Ends with Em snapping back to reality (no pun intended), getting through rehab, and getting back in the game.
Recovery: Em exploring his newfound sobriety and recounting the reality of his near-death experience, as well as the death of his best friend. Basically a personal album where Em comes to terms with his own personal demons.
So basically, Em has recounted everything from his life. He has gotten past his drug/alcohol problems and his past. I would hate for him to retread the same topics. We all saw what happened when he tried that on the album that never happened.
