He's going against the grain. You got faggots who can't make a solo record to save their life (French, Game, basically almost everyone in the game) and he's coming through with an album with no rap features. It takes nuts.

And no, features aren't needed. Wtf. Just look at Eminem.. The Eminem Show would have been a lot better without Obie, or D12 or Dre.

Features are cool and a bonus but a solo album is supposed to be yours. And I like what Cole is doing.

There are 21 tracks but there will be at least 4 skits or all the songs will be very short, because an album can't be more than 80 minutes.

It's not a collection of songs, this is an album.
I know that a lot of you will keep the best songs for your ipod but when I listen to something, I listen to it to front to back. Some features keep the album fresh and thx god, obie Trice, D12 and Dre were on TES... the individual songs would have been better without them but the album is better with them IMO.

btw, I agree with Omega, the title says no rap features, not no features but I still think that a few rap features are important

I would have wanted ONE jay feature, but that's it. But good for Cole. This takes balls. He's got the skill to pull something like this off, so it will be interesting to see if he brings his A game or not.

I was a little disappointed with his last mixtape, but I love power trip and miss America reprise (which has a feature, so we should have known there were no RAP features) and can't wait to hear the new album. I feel like this album will either confirm he's here to stay or he ran out of material by dropping all of his mixtapes in the past.
