whoever owns the rights to the Beatles music, which was Michael Jackson, but then after he died McCartney got most back, should say no.
i wouldn't call myself a Beatles fan... but that had some nice tunes, sad to see this happen

He probably doesn't have anything to do with it but if that project is anything more than a free mixtape he/his label peeps will definitely take part of it (rights wise at the least) even if it was all about his old songs been mashed-up.

Not necessarily though... it's just a mash-up project which will most likely just come & go. For example a lotta young rappers have paid for Biggie & Pac verses over the years but that has made them look bad rather than put 'em on or let alone get 'em close to legendary status.
At the end of the day it's just business even though it's a bad idea overall.
