Nobody I know could name even 1 Jay-Z song. Kendrick is everywhere these days though, even in Australia, which is pretty rare. Drake is just huge, much bigger than Hov - no doubt.
I wouldn't quite agree @ the Jay-Z thing.
I think that used to be more true... but, generally speaking... I mean, I have friends who are in to heavy metal; they know who Jay-Z is lol... America makes people and things famous so even if people aren't in to him, they very much know who he is.
Pretty much anybody in our generation who at all listens to music across most of the world knows who he is, but yeah he's certainly not like, as liked or popular as someone like Em who crosses genres, who many of my rock friends love for example.
Kendrick definitely ain't bigger than Jay-Z yet though, not even close.
Kendrick definitely doesn't have Jay's legacy but is currently much more popular, which is what I'm arguing.
You guys seriously think Jay is more popular than Kendrick right now? :S
Edit: And I wasn't exaggerating, nobody can name a Jay-Z song... Unless its NIP which isn't a Jay-Z song.
