The quality of the mixtapes is stellar, and as far as I've been seeing, people generally agree that his latest is his best, or one of the best.

And if his debut album is seen as a "disappointment", it isn't because of quality, but mostly subject matter. It was hard to top albums so good like KRIT Wuz Here, R4 and 4Eva anyway.

King Remembered in Time showed KRIT's growth as a producer and lyricist. Tracks like Banana Clip Theory, WTF and Bigger Picture are fantastic concept songs and the production in stuff like King Without a Crown or Multi Till The Sun Die is in another level.

He's not limited as an artist, lmao. He is extremely well balanced: Has bangers, has concept songs, has mellow songs, has deep, introspective songs, etc.

An example: 5 different songs, from the same album, all produced by him:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i9d-AEvRWs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ieLm5gmhU0

With variety like this, how can he be considered "limited"?

So yeah, he really is the best among the other cats.

Lupe Fiasco has The Cool and Food And Liquor under his belt, we're talking about 2 classic albums right there.
J Cole have a lot of great mixtapes.
Kendrick Lamar released Section 80 and Good Kid Maad City

just to name a few artists

I'm sorry man, but nothing about J.Cole is better than KRIT's shit. I'm saying this as a Cole fan.

I like the dude, but he's pretty generic, and even his fans acknowledge that.

As for Lupe, Food and Liquor is one of my favorite albums of all time. The Cool was ok. Problem with him is that most people would agree that he has fallen off the radar since Lasers.

If any of the Big KRIT tapes would have been first full release albums, specially Krit Wuz Here, or R4, I wouldn't doubt for a second than they would be seen as "classics". I fucking hate the "classic" concept anyway, but whatever.

The cool ok ? The cool is more than an Ok album, it's arguably one of the best sophomore albums of the last 10 years

All of krit tapes sound like mixtapes, all of them are good or very good but they aren't groundbreaking tbh

Your opinion is on the vast minority, even trying to be as objective as possible. KRIT "tapes" do not sound like "mixtapes" not.at.all.

They are free, full length albums, fully developed from the concept art to the style of the project.

You are telling me that your average mixtaper can come up with a song, video, and concept like this for a "mixtape" sounding song? lol

lol

Lupe has fallen off the radar since Lasers but krit can't fuck with F&L and The Cool.
As for Kendrick, he's also constantly improving and progressing and krit hasn't released something better than gkmc or s80.

I'm not telling you that he is worse than them because he has a lot of potential, but he isn't better than them.

Good job avoiding my points and instead posting "lol".

I think he is better than them and explained why, though. If you don't share my opinion, not a single fuck was given bud.

Your opinion is on the vast minority then.

I avoided your points because I don't care if his mixtapes sound like full length albums for you, they sound like mixtapes to me, very good mixtapes but that's it.

They are free, full length albums but none of them are better than the cool, food and liquor, section 80 or good kid maad city and his debut album is a disappointment.

it's cool to think for yourself, I still think he is behind old Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole and some artists from TDE.

This is exactly what you told me, now you know how annoying it is to read that kind of stuff

It would be well deserved if one of the 2 wins but How is Lupe Fiasco new school ?
