If you like his music, okay, whatever, but... he still talks like he was a drug kingpin and is some huge gangster boss... as in, even outside of the music, he acts like it's real... LOL.

He was a fucking corrections officer and he even admitted to it!... after denying it!

To be a corrections officer - you can't have a criminal past...
So... what, he grew up gang banging and dealing drugs and never ONCE got caught? Have you heard how dumb this moron is? Do you really think he could outfox the police for his entire fucking lifetime when you have mob bosses taken down.

OR, let's assume he did have gang connections and dealt drugs - he's going to put himself at risk by opening his entire life to a job relating to law enforcement? LOL.

The reason is simple, he's making money, and lots of it. When people make money, the people that rely on that money will do/say whatever they need to keep that money coming. If Rick Ross just dropped his gimmick he'd be broke in a matter of no time, and I doubt he, his management, or friends want that. At the end of the day unfortunately the music industry is a business and Rick Ross is an entertainer (if you can call him that, haha).

The way I see it- hip hop has changed. It's no longer about living the lifestyle, it's about money. Face it rap is mainstream now. And you know what's even worse? How many stupid people exist to eat it all up.

I can honestly say I've never listened to Rick Ross, not once ever. (maybe I have heard him, I'll never know) But I know he's shit...how? Because he's associated with this new-age cancer hip hop.

Mind you,I started listening a hip hop in 2009, but I went back to the nineties, then the eighties. I could never make it past 2004-5, everything after that fell to shit.

I agree with you Vig and trust me don't bother even checking him out...he's shit however I finally see hiphop coming back now with some of the newer upcoming artists.. I do see change finally as from 2004 - 2012 hip hop has been hopeless.

Yeah it seems like all the late eighties kids are getting popular, and they mostly grew up on the classics.

Because he's been having identity crises even since he called himself Rock Ross referring to the then convicted kingpin Rick ''Freeway'' Ross but then at some point turned into The Teflon Don which is one of John Gotti's nicknames. Totally ridiculous & no wonder why John Gotti's son took offense.
