Has anybody listened to old Kendrick Lamar?

Postby flyingmonkey10 » Jun 11th, '13, 23:04

I have all his old mixtapes downloaded, waiting for me to listen to them
i've only listened to his OD mixtape along with section.80 and GKMC
i don't know which one to start with. I COULD go chronologically which is a no brainner, so i can see for myself his growth as an artist OR you kendrick stans could tell me which to check out first :y:
How can hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?

yep, all of them, I have all these unreleased songs on my HD + the collab mixtape with jay rock

You absolutely have to listen to the Kendrick Lamar EP (he released it before OD) but you're right, it's better if you go chronologically because he changes his style and voice for every tape :y:

I have but never thought he's gonna make it that big. He was showcased by a popular West Coast web site when he was very very young.
He defines all those LA kids who grew up on that 90's hip-hop... :y:

To be honest he was active but didn't really impress from scratch... some other cats from his generation were on before him but couldn't maintain their thang & couldn't splash either while K.Dot kept developing in the process & then took over.
