*cough* MMLP *cough*
that was a different era. rap has become more acceptable now and grammy has started acknowledging hip hop more than ever. so yeah in this day and age kendrick has a pretty good chance. it wont be shocking. but as someone said the little stan in me doesnt want this to happen. but if it happens, it will happen for good.
This.
He has the rap album of the year on lock and he has a pretty good chance to win the A0TY.
The kid got 90+ on metacritic, the fantano approval, P4K approved, sold loads for this time in hip hip and not being commercial, widely loved, #1 on RYM (2012), impacted other artists, etc
I'd be very surprised if he doesn't win the award, specially considering that his album is way more acclaimed than any album released this year
