Yeah, Will Smith is great. I used to love Lost and Found and Born to Reign. Born to Reign, the song itself, is actually amazing. He goes the fuck in.

So yes you love Jay Electronica.

Nas only co-wrote Gettin' Jiggy Wit It.

Nas wrote:No, no, dude is real talented. He really had it together. I just was vibin' with him. We worked on "Get Jiggy Wit' It," and something on the "Men in Black" soundtrack. You know, but he'll put it together. I was just there vibin with him.

Definitely if we talk about the whole album & not about any specific song... I am not sure what part or whatever but most likely a chunk of it was written by ghostwriters.

It doesn't sound like you really know whether it was ghost written or not. I've haven't been able to find anything about anyone ghost writing Lost & Found. Don't doubt Big Willie, he was a legitimate rapper before acting.

You missed a lot of what I said about Will Smith I guess... He definitely left his mark way before he became one of the biggest movie stars.
On another note...It is not even a secret he's worked with ghost writers for the most part of his career so I guess you haven't looked that good if you didn't know that.
Basically the whole album was co written at best... Luda wrote the majority of Party Starter. I think Will Smith only wrote most of the melodic hooks but none of the verses.
Your defense sucks Sol... I think Will Smith needs a better defender than that.

Yeah but your argument is terrible. You're saying "I think Will Smith wrote none of the verses, only the melodic hooks" and to back it up you show me a Wiki link showing vague cowriters on his songs. That somehow proves that he doesn't write his own verses?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Marshall_Mathers_LP

Damn Eminem has a lot of ghost writers too then, probably only wrote the hooks of the solo tracks now that I think of it...

Francesco, provide a link backing what you say up before you say someone else has a shitty defence.

The burden of proof is on you.

I think R. Montogmery is listed as a writer on that song in the liner notes of the album. But maybe we're talking about 2 different things

That's wack as fuck that Nas has had people write for him.

I hate when 'writers' do that... like, with Dre say - it's known he's not a lyricist, so it doesn't matter but NAS!? Nas is one of THEE writers of hip-hop, so that's just disappointing.

It was definitely upsetting because I was just really beginning to enjoy his Untitled release and then pop goes an article with Jay saying he wrote for it.

What are you talking about? lol Did you really say my argument was terrible?
I don't/didn't really wanna make you look bad but was just saying... that's why I won't quote your first post right now actually!
You didn't have idea what you were talking about & on top of it it's not even a secret Will Smith uses ghostwriters only for like...forever :facepalm

The link was legit & totally proved my point cuz' not all of them dudes have produced for the album.
I think you should just go back & read all of my posts in this thread & will actually know what it's that all about.

I did actually... he said I wasn't sure someone ghostwrote for that album & I provided a link which totally proves it... just provided two more. Here's another which generally proves Will Smith have used ghostwriters for many songs.

Yes I did say your argument was terrible. That's because your argument was terrible. You were saying a lot of unfounded things with no sources for no reason. Now you're providing sources and getting hopped up on what I said earlier. I don't think anyone here thinks I "look bad" because you linked a bunch of sites.

Your first source:
http://rap-rebirth.com/blog/?p=51

Your first source states that Nas wrote Will Smith's "Gettin' Jiggy With It". Earlier in the thread, I pointed out that Nas wrote Will Smith's "Gettin' Jiggy With It". Showing me that he had Nas write 1 song from Big Willie Style isn't proof that Lost & Found was almost entirely ghost written except for his melodic hooks (as you said). So yeah, nothing new here. You haven't proved anything yet.

Your second source:
http://www.xxlmag.com/news/2012/08/xxl- ... ters-poll/

The Queens poet put in writing duties for Smith on the Tinsel Town titan’s Big Willie Style album, contributing “Gettin’ Jiggy wit It,” “Miami” and more.

Nice, he ghost wrote "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" (as I already established...), and now apparently "Miami". Nice, nothing about Lost & Found. You haven't proved anything yet.

Your third source:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_Starter

The song was written with rapper Ludacris as a tribute to Bobby Seale.

It was written with Ludacris. And let's say Ludacris wrote the entire song, that makes the entire album ghost written? You haven't proved anything yet.

Your fourth source:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switch_%28song%29

"Switch" is a single released in 2005 by Will Smith from his album Lost & Found. The song peaked at No. 7 on the United States Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. It reached No. 1 in Canada and Australia where it remained for one week and No. 4 in the United Kingdom. Will Smith performed the song live on the Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards 2005, at San Antonio before Game 1 of the 2005 NBA Finals between the Detroit Pistons and the San Antonio Spurs, and at the Live 8 concert in Philadelphia. There are two official remixes to the song-an R&B remix featuring Robin Thicke with a smoother and slower rhythm and a reggae remix featuring Elephant Man. Both can be found on the Lost & Found album. This song was also featured as a track on the 2005 compilation album Now That's What I Call Music! 19 and it was featured in a trailer for Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Not a single thing about ghost writing. You haven't proved anything yet.

Your fifth source:
http://smokingsection.uproxx.com/TSS/20 ... z2WW11uwNz

The D.O.C., Pharoahe Monch, Consequence, Sauce Money, Ice Cube and Biggie all have writing credit attached to songs they were never heard rapping on. Not to mention Nas himself writing a bunch of Will Smith’s comeback tracks.

It says Nas himself wrote a bunch of Will Smith's comeback tracks. More than likely referring to the few songs on Big Willie Style I already agree with you about the ghostwriting. Also, Nas isn't credited anywhere on Lost & Found so that was also kind of irrelevant. You haven't proved anything yet.

So no, you haven't really proved to me that:

Francesco wrote:most likely a chunk of it was written by ghostwriters.

Francesco wrote:Will Smith only wrote most of the melodic hooks but none of the verses.

Francesco wrote:Your defense sucks Sol...

Nope.

Now allow me to continue my studious behavior and return to calculus. I'll be back like Johann Sebastian.
