Even though that's kinda hard to counter attack... lol It hits as hard as that Jay's The Sun rounds the Earth line... or a few Master P had back in the day.

That is such a stupid statement to make (yours not Kanye's... Well, Kanye's too). I didn't realise that before becoming an artist you first had to acquire an extensive knowledge of ancient history. Lol.

Out of curiosity, who do you think deserves that title (if anyone)?

no not necessarily that you should know ancient history before becoming a rap artist (I can't imagine some of the shit retards like French Montana and 2chainz don't know), but if you're going to be hailed as "the greatest artist of the 21st century", you better damn well know about this almost painfully well-known fact in history.

But I think what's worse is how he let that make it not only on his album, but on one of his first released songs

Lmao, to whom is that fact well known? 7 billion people on the planet, do you think most of them know about Sparta? What does that fact (which btw, isn't a fact, there were more than 300 soldiers lol...) have to do with art? Why is that specific fact relevant to artistry?

Anyway the point I was making is, yeah he made a mistake, art is about trying things and making mistakes. Yeah he said something dumb (in an otherwise dope af song), but quite literally every rapper has said something dumb, because every human has... Even Einstein and probably Jesus! Should we remove crucifixes and portraits of the Lord because he claimed a lot of horseshit? Should we discredit all his good because of one line? Does this mean NO good art can be created because NOBODY is flawless?

Seriously that was such a stupid thing to say. "A great artist can't make mistakes" :facepalm

Regardless to whatever Amadeo or Slik said... just to add how much Ye fucked up writing/recording this...

Apart the Madness... This is Sparta quote the movie is all about what Spartans suppose to be & how much different they were to even the other Greeks at the time... let alone Romans. The whole thing is portrayed really well as it's all about one of the Persian invasions of Greece & most of it King Leonidas, not any Roman emperor or whatever.
It's not like I don't like Ye but this line was horrible all the way... I still can't believe this to be honest.
