I could have literally quoted anything you've said in the past page. People like you are the reason this album is getting any of the praise it has gotten.

:D

Ye's worst album debut though, but the 'no radio single' probably played a big role.

Cole did well, almost 300k, even after a leak 12 days before the release. :flutter:

Damn Ye under performed. And since there are no singles people will forget about it and Cole will take the lead.

You're a fucking idiot.

"I just talked to Jesus
He said, "What up Yeezus?"
I said, "Shit I'm chilling
Trying to stack these millions"

Real genius right there.

As opposed to

"Have confidence, speak with conviction
Don't put 'em asleep when you rock it
This is harmony, the Nina's taking you through it
Make it buttery, utterly beautiful, make it fluid
Sickology 101 is in session, I thought you knew it
We murderin' motherfuckers in music, that's how we do it!"

 Those are terrible lyrics but for Tech N9ne they're awesome because they actually make sense. Don't make me post 20 lines of fucking gibberish from Tech, because he has some truly awful lines.

Really? Exactly how is it terrible? It makes sense, it flows AWESOMELY, the rhyming works. Tech N9ne>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Ye as a technical rapper in every way, shape, form. And gibberish? Sure, Tech has bad songs, no doubt. But at least he makes an effort to make an interesting flow, to make his voice melodic, to RHYME. Kanye West is undoubtedly one of the worst lyricists on the face of the planet.

For the love of God, don't use lyricism as an argument against Kanye. It doesn't work.

Yeah well I actually liked him on his other albums. Yeezus is the only one I have a problem with.

Graduation is such an amazing and underrated piece of work.

So, let me get this straight. Kanye is a rapper, but using his bad lyrical skills against him does not work? And that is because? If someone is called A RAPPER and that someone is a part of hip hop culture, why the fuck would not people talk about his shitty lyrics?

I got nothing against him, he would not be as huge as he is if he was totally talentless, but you people sound worse than those You Tube kids writing stupid shit. Kanye`s lyrical skills are not good and everybody can say that. As a rapper, he is not very good. I really don`t give a fuck about his godly production. If you are so into melodies go listen to techno or ambient jazz or classical music or something.

So, once more: if you like his music-great. Enjoy it, discuss it, live it...do what ever you want. But don`t say stupid things like "For the love of God, don't use lyricism as an argument against Kanye. It doesn't work.". it does work. Lyricism is the BIGGEST part of rap music. So, unless you move Kanye to some other genre, that argument works.

Sorry, I phrased that wrong.

The three main components of rap are content, flow and delivery. Now, let's be factual, Kanye ticks all three boxes. But when you bring in the whole lyricism argument (especially when you're comparing him to Tech N9ne, who I like but you guys praise WAY too much) against ANY rapper, it basically becomes a back-and-forth of bad examples and good examples. So, no, the lyricism argument doesn't work, because it is a tiny minute part of rap.
