Was his rapping on beat? Yes, it was... His flow and delivery was on point... So he rapped just fine.

On point? It was standard Kanye West flow. Basically, not great.

Yes, but not BAD either.

Never said his flow/delivery was bad. Just nothing special. Yelawolf on 1 Train was "on point". Kanye's flow is more along the lines of "meh". Where's Amadeo when you need him? I bet he'd thoroughly dissect Kanye's lyrics :flutter:

This whole thread is asking why it's bad. I wasn't even addressing you until you quoted me. Hop off my nuts boi

And again, writing and rapping are two different things.

You're nitpicking. It's fairly obvious that Almost Titty was talking about the writing. Nobody's criticizing Ye over his flow/delivery. Except maybe for the screaming.

They're criticizing his rapping. Alm is obviously taking about his rapping, hence the word RAPPING in his thread title. If you want to make a thread about his writing go right ahead.

Everybody seems to be talking about his lyrics. But I could be wrong.

The main criticism about Yeezus are the lyrics. Alm said the rapping because he included the lyrics and the content, probably.

Everyone knows Kanye's delivery is amazing. You're really just nitpicking at this point.

No, people are definitely saying he isn't a good rapper.

I have no trouble acknowledging that his lyrics are lazy in points, but some are great too.

Like I said MBDTF > GKMC > Yeezus.

Come on. Everybody talked about the lyrics and the content, except the few ones that don't like Kanye as a rapper. But disappointed fans were talking about subject matter and lazy lyrics, they weren't questioning him as a rapper.

If the thread title was "How is Ye a bad rapper?" then I would have understood why you would say that. Alm is obviously talking about the hate on Yeezus' lyrics and content, not his overrall skills as a rapper.

And I agree with you, I like Section 80 more than GKMC though. Personal preference, mainly due to the beats to be honest. Anyway..

I like individual songs on Section.80 more it has some phenomenal tracks. But GKMC is a much more cohesive album, it tells a story from start to finish. I respect Kendrick so much for that album.

I get what you're saying but lyricism really has nothing to do with rapping. Take Dre for example, he can't write at all but he can rap just fine. And his albums are "classics" despite lazy gangsta lyrics written by snoop.

Because barely any of the lines were compelling or good and his flows often sounded drunk or lazy. I understand he was going for a raw unfiltered stream of thoughts and emotion, but the rapping and lyricism just doesn't sound engaging here like it did on his previous.

Rapping and lyricism? (Just emphasizing this to show posters from one page ago that people ARE criticizing Ye's rapping)

No way.

His lyrics were lazy at times but his rapping (flow/delivery) was 10/10. "Y'all niggaz cant fuck with me! Y'all niggaz can't fuck with Ye, Y'ALL NIGGAZ CAN'T FUCK WITH YE, I MOVE MY FAMILY OUT THE COUNTRY SO YOU CAN'T SEE WHERE THEY STAY".

That is very engaging. Kanye always delivers his lines with passions and I really don't think the flows were lazy. Define a "lazy" flow. Did he stay on beat? Yes.... It's not lazy then. Maybe not innovative, but certainly not lazy.

His "rapping" (as opposed to lyricism) was great on this album.
