Honestly, I feel like Lupe is revolutionary, innovative, creative, and a lot smarter than EM.
He runs triple syllable soliloquies that have five different meanings to it, not even per verse. like per two lines. If people actually dissected Lupe's lyrics, they'd realize how GOAT he is.
Lupe is probably the best lyricist the game has ever seen.
"If you ain't Million Dollar Dreaming then we opposites / In high school I was voted the most Ted DiBiase-est / Also the most slept on, cause my Ted DiBiase-ness"
"Cecil Rhodes sewed war and genocide into the countryside just to get his shine on / I fear what De Beers and his peers used to do before the world really knew just to get their mine on"
Other way around, but that's just my opinion. Not saying Em isn't a great artist, but Lupe's tracks tend to have more meaning and are aimed towards an unconscious public while Em has meaningful songs but mostly pertain about his emotions, and that's it. While Em does have some socially active songs like Mosh and White America he raps more about goofy stuff while Lupe remains dedicated to solving the world's major issues.

Definitely this.
When Em makes a socially-aware song, its usually in a first-person perspective (what HE thinks, how HE sees it) and its usually in a very angry, negative manner. Lupe is much calmer and aware of the whole situation.
I'm a fan of Lupe Fiasco, I just don't get the constant praise for rappers who have a hidden meaning in their lyrics, I'm positive Eminem is the better rhymer, Content? Depends on what you prefer, but I'd honestly take Personal and Humorous over political, I'm also not the biggest fan of Lupe's delivery, he sounds too quiet and he doesn't use Hov's technique of stop and go or the switch ups... plus Eminem's imagery and cartoonish tone! can Lupe pull of Relapse? doubt it, plus while Lupe's social commentary is enticing and intelligent, it isn't as hard hitting as Em's! its not the message sometimes, it's how you get it across
While Lupe has F&L and The Cool
I think none of those holds a candle to the SSLP or the MMLP

Doesn't mean he is, though.
I hate the winter time because the nights come quicker/ The light make them whites think I'm a nice young n*gga/ But at night they think twice...and walk a little faster It's funny, 100 years ago I'd'a called this n*gga master...
- J. Cole. Too deep for you mother fuckers.
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

Yep. Same as when Hopsin tries to talk about politics. Fucking stupid.

I don't know your opinion any other song where he tackles racism but these lines pose almost no inaccuracies with the place he was raised. I know quite a few people who still think like that.
