It's not true that when a plane crash you always die.
This accident is the example, and there are much more where just a few people died and the other survived.
And also, saying this

is like saying that when a car hits a truck at a high speed you basically die.
The accidents in aviation can vary a lot.
The emergency landings that are made safely daily all around the world can be compared to what you described as the "small accidents" that can occur on a car.
For example, a few years ago, a B757 from Thomas Cook Airlines hit a bird on takeoff, the engine took fire, but the pilots managed to make a safe landing and nobody got injured.

No plane falls from 10 km height.
You can't, unless both wings simultaneously break which is beyond impossible.
For example, if all the engines shut down together, which is an extremely rare scenario, the plane can still be controlled and landed safely.

I don't have the bad kind of fear, I fly a lot and all that. I just get nervous sometimes.

LOL no, I meant it in a sense that plane crashes have a low chance of happening. Think there are thousands of flights everyday around the world and most of them have been fine lol.
