Money Trees should have been the 2nd single

It was like this like only 6 months ago.
KENDRICK LAMAR - Good Kid, m.A.A.d City : 539,800
MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS - The Heist : 191,600King Lance wrote:I think kendrick will also sell more in the long run, he confirmed 2 new singles/videos (Money Trees & Maad City)

I don't know about that. Macklemore just sold out Arena shows in the US, he'll perform there in October so when his sales start to slow down a bit. It'll give him a big boost.
Not even talking about how Same Love was released as a single recently and is doing great. Might even get his third n1 on billboard.

It's one of the factors as to why Kendrick might win this race. Macklemore relies on the radio too much while Kendrick can sell without any "major" hits.
Money trees will probably give him the edge because this is arguably his most "mainstream" song after Swimming Pools.

Anybody think that Kendrick vs Macklemore is similar to Kanye vs Eminem?

The more artistic rapper that gained a fuckload of respect in the "street" community slowly but surely, before getting a cosign from a major rapper vs the outlandish, strange, white newcomer that got famous overnight because of a poppy but creative song.
