G.I. Joe Retaliation. Wasn't that great, but wasn't that horrible either.

Well, I just came back, and this movie was for the most part pretty good. I don't get the criticism leveled at being "Transformers vs Godzilla" when that's made evidently obvious in the trailers. Not like there's anything wrong with said premise and indulging in it, this is how you do style over substance visceral blockbusters. I was actually afraid that it'd be another Battleship or Transformers but was pleasantly surprised.

Only complaints I really have are the superficially boring white action hero main character and pretty generic ending. Oh and I would have liked more of the world being explored and how the kaiju really affected the major cities, a major plot point but was pretty largely ignored for the most part. But yeah good movie.

Los amantes pasajeros, by Pedro Almodóvar. Spanish movie. I think in English it is called "I'm so excited".

I really liked it. Very Almodóvar. But I don't know if people outside Spain really like his movies...Recomended anyway. :y:

Banderas has a cameo in Los amantes pasajeros. Penélope Cruz too. Give it a try to the movie, maybe you would like it. :y:

French cinema and Spanish cinema has a lot in common. I think for an american is harder to like our cinema, when you are used to certain type of movies.

I really liked the movie Amélie (Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain)
