What is your AOTY so far?

What is your absolute favorite album thus far this year across all genres and why?

Personally, mine would have to be Save Rock and Roll by Fall Out Boy. It's insanely catchy and has great lyrics and came as both a surprise and relief to me when I checked it out. Plus it doesn't hurt that it has great replay value :coffee:. Besides SRR, I'd to say either J.Cole's Born Sinner (HUGE surprise for me) or Notes From the Underground by Hollywood Undead (Which was a very solid effort from one of my favorite bands).

Absolutely love the agressive beats, electronic influence and overall sound of the album. I could not care less that he rhymes ''God'' with ''God'' 5 times and ''in da club'' with ''in da club'' 4 times. The lyrics are bullshit but I rarely care about that. The album sound mighty and that's the most important thing. 10 tracks, 10 great tracks. All my faves.

Bring Me The Horizon / Sempiternal Image

Came as a huge surprise to me. At the beginning of the year I though BMTH were pissed of screaming assholes, but this album is incredible. The sound is absolutely huge, and the screaming vocals on this album are actually... listenable, which is something I don't say about many metalcore records. Recommended. Favorites: Can You Feel My Heart, Empire (Let Them Sing), Shadow Moses, And The Snakes Start To Sing..., Anti-Vist, Hospital For Souls.
