Nah, there is a difference between dissing pop shit and dissing a rapper like Tyler. Hopsin and Tyler are both cut from the same cloth, so it comes off as senseless jealousy tbh.

Hopsin knew it would get the attention of that crowd and turn them onto his music (which it did). The intent is different than when Tyler disses someone like B.O.B, we all knew it was because B.O.B started making some bullshit compromised pop-rap music for radio and Tyler obviously has strong opinions about that.

Tyler is in no way pop, so what reason did Hopsin really have for dissing him? The song is dope, but we can't reach here. It was pointless and fucking stupid for Hop to diss Tyler. It was opportunistic.

Of course Hopsin knew it would get him some attention, especially since he can actually rap and because his diss was good.. But I feel like he genuinely felt like calling them out on their bullshit.
He wasn't a fan of that "kill shit burn school" shit or that satanic image they were portraying.

Tyler is not pop, of course he's not. But being "pop" isn't the only reason you can diss a rapper for. After all, the songs are called "Ill Mind of Hopsin" because he basically speaks his mind on them.

B.O.B was definitely pop, he even made the reference to Airplanes on Yonkers, this was released way after Nothin On You..... that shit is pop as fuck.

All that kill people/rape/satanic shit is tongue-in-cheek, Hopsin isn't a fucking saint either. He has his fair share of songs when he acts like a "psycho". It's not Tyler's fault that his music isn't diet-psycho like Hopsin's.

Have you heard Adventures of Bobby Ray? That album is dope as fuck. And B.o.B is also a good producer man, by the way.

Anyway, I think Hopsin thought Tyler was taking it too far and thought his whole fanbase only liked him because of the shock value (which is almost true, since at least half of it stopped buying his album when he dropped that attitude)
