You could sake the same about Eminem. The thing with Drake (and Eminem) is, they know what to drop and when to drop it to generate a great buzz. Drake will be back on top with this album. He isn't the rap artist with most number 1 songs for no reason.

Because Drake is currently the second best selling artist behind Eminem. He isn't taken seriously but he is extremely popular

What?

I feel like you didn't understand what I'm saying...currently, as an activist Hip-Hop artist, he really isn't anywhere to be seen. At least for me, I literally haven't listened to the radio in maybe six or seven months.

Every song Drake touches succeeds and is a hit. Every feature he does is massively successful, every solo song he puts out is a hit and everybody expects his next album to go platinum in it's first week.
Kdot and Drake are widely talked about as the two leaders of this "new generation", followed by J.Cole

Drake is more popular and Kendrick is more praised and acclaimed, Drake is basically Jay-Z and Kendrick is a more popular version of Nas

You may not hear about it becase you don't care about it, but the hype about NWTS it big and growing
He will dominate the mainstream once again when it's out. With big first week numbers for sure.
