The reason TR sucks now is because there is almost no good discussion at all. It's like there are two camps of members that refuse to listen to the other one whatsoever. Like a Drake song will drop and all the haters from Camp A will come in and talk about how terrible it is, and call it trash and call Drake a faggot but won't reference the music at all and won't explain why they think that way. Then Camp B comes in and just posts fucking Obama or Kanye's face and other meaningless phrases like whew or winning but also won't discuss the music at all. It's all pointless. Then you have the opposite case where some shitty Tech N9ne or Hopsin song gets released and Camp A circle jerks all over it and Camp B just hates on it but there's again rarely any discussion regarding the actual music to back up their opinion. People just need to throw out their preconceived biases when they go into a thread and talk about the actual music. Like just the other day in a Pac thread I tried to start an actual discussion on why his best album was MATW and not AEOM and instead the only person that responded was Trigga whining about how maybe people just enjoy that music more and it's their opinion. That's so boring. What's the point of a forum if not to discuss why you have your opinions?

Anyway, sorry for the rant and before everyone comes in with, "If you hate it so much why don't you just leave?" I have before and I'm planning on again this is just taking longer than I expected because AbramIsaac rarely logs on.

You have a very tiny point but it's a very blunt assumption of how the forum works.

The reason why it's pretty dull is heavily resulting from Eminem's lack of music as of late. The forum thrives when he has music coming out, it's when the majority of our long lasting members decide to join and the forum is full of life. Til then, it's like this.

Well obviously that was an oversimplification and I'm sure it will pick up a lot with new Eminem material. I was mainly talking about HHD though. I know there is tons of good discussion on Eminem, the problem is the discussion ends whenever it's not about Eminem.


My other gripe is what the fuck is up with the anti-christ/blatantly racist members? I'm gonna have to take the L on my argument for the N word being uncensored, I had no idea this forum wasn't mature enough to have that word and not be retarded with it. No members are going to join when they come in and see Basedshady straight up calling people niggers and referring to black people as chimps and other stupid shit. Basically it has shit debators atm and people who can't articulate their thoughts without breaking down to a frantic mess crying opinion or posting shitty outdated memes.

Basically to put it bluntly Hip Hop discussion outside Eminem in this forum is really fucking limited, it's all the same few artists being discussed. And people really need to broaden their music tastes outside of shady and his affiliates. And yes there are some people that don't fit the bill, but let's not act like the majority of this forum don't fit that bill.

Seriously? That's literally the definition of taken out of context. You showed my quote without any of the surrounding posts. We don't know the thread's title or atmosphere or anything.

I'm not saying every post has to be a 5 paragraph analysis but most members can't do it at all. Sometimes you just have to state your opinion and take it from there. If someone would have replied, "No, your wrong. Hopsin is good/bad," then I would have been able to go in-depth and support my opinion. Very few members can seem to do that.

I like the fact that TR is small, it makes everything much more personal and leaves less room for trolls and idiots like the ones you find on KTT and Boxden. Not to say that TR doesn't have a fair share of those... but don't some of them come from those other forums?

As far as discussion on the forum goes, it can be better. I tend to be very opinionated on here and love debating, but some people do respond with bland shit like "it's just an opinion", and the rare times when dicussions do go far, people tend to get defensive and start slandering. That is pretty weak.
