Here's Lance showing his best asset, which means going by what the general opinion on KTT is. :shifty:

it's funny how people love the new school rappers but hate on Wayne.
A lot of the new school rappers were influenced by his flows and cadence.

Yeah that's cool and I appreciate it but it doesn't make his records sound good

The entire verse is nonsensical. Get fanned away with grands to pay was the line with the most meaning and that's only iffy at best.

I'd say it's the line with the LEAST clarity.

Some of the people appointed to give an opinion
(= Critics/writers)
Appointed? I wouldn't say that any critics are appointed.
Never do get it
I want you to come on and gobble a jimmy and... die
N9na be givin the remedy and why?
(Claiming his music should remedy negativity)
Remedy is also a weird word to use. Remedy to the negativity from critics? If he has the remedy why does he have the problems he says he has in this verse?
Critics are really the enemy and I
Can't stand the way they slam today's gifted
(Tech doesn't like critics slamming gifted artists)
Effin' incredible, get fanned away with grands to pay
This jam will lay scripted
(The show will go on as planned? Bad bars with a lack of clarity.)
Deaf and impeccable
(Deaf - Jam - Def Jam? Reach bars if so, lack of clarity.)
()
Yeah, all of these bars are dreadful
Write a rhyme and I put everything in a flow
I'm the N9ne I'mma look very mean
When a foe scribe a line but he has never been at a show
(Tech getting irked by critics/writers writing negative articles without witnessing his live shows)
This is probably his worst line though. Foe? How are any critics his foes? They aren't in a battle. And then to use the word scribe? This isn't ancient Egypt. They aren't "scribing" lines.
By the times it'll be better, leave it in the stove.
Leave it to heat up? It takes longer to appreciate him? Another vague line you have to reach for meaning
Cause they wrote nothin' but lies, quotes stuck in my eyes
Amateur writer dissin'
(Critics/writers again writing negative/inaccurate articles about him)
He's a beginner and hopes for your demise, folks I'mma despise
More awkward phrasing used just for a rhyme
Never do try to listen
(Critics/writers wish bad upon him, and when he tries to set them straight they aren't willing to listen)
It's real - I'm mad
Clueless when you scribble on your pad
(You = Critics/writers)
How you gonna criticize now with a chisel on your nads sizzling your ad.
(Unclear, but I think he's saying here that he's fantasizing about castrating them. Not a good line.)
Yeah, I agree with that meaning and it being a bad lineYou don't really get why I'm so pissed? Understand this:
I'm an artist, and I'm sensitive about my shit, yes I'm

Like who?

Kendrick is HIGHLY influenced by Lil Wayne's flows and cadence. he admitted that prime wayne was his main influence and you can clearly hear it on a lot of songs.
J Cole sounds like him on a few songs, and even the underground artists who diss him used his flow on a few songs.

His 'jam' is impeccable because he puts everything in his flow? As if it wasn't obvious enough, use context clues man, dang. Do you listen to music or just skim through it and call it nonsense?

C'mon man. Every single person whose commented has explained the line differently. I've explained why the lines are bad 10 times in here. Give up.

ME give up?

The only thing you've proved 10 times is that you don't like his verse because it doesn't use common terminology and normal words/phrasing. You call it bad for that lol

That has nothing to do with appreciation of rap music. Tech N9ne's lyrics are bad however you look at them and it's pointless to argue that.

Oh, and for the record, the rule says nothing about it having to be spam, and others have gotten warnings from mods who aren't me for doing the same thing you're doing.:
8.6 Double/Triple-posting - It is not allowed to post more than one post in a row within a short amount of time. The Staff might delete your post, or "warn" you about it. If it keeps happening, an official warning will be given.

Thank you, come again.

It doesn't have to say it, use common sense. Me double posting in this context does not hurt the forum in any way. Don't just blindly follow rules because they're rules.

bah, his flow and cadence lol..the rate at which he drops the rhymes, the rhythms, etc.
Nobody sounded like wayne in the 90's/ early 2000's

I remember that blu talked about that in an interview and it's true that the flow he uses on 2-3 songs reminds me of Wayne.

Wayne sounds like a lot of rappers but nobody sounded like Wayne when he blew up :shifty:
You can't tell me that Kendrick on how many drinks doesn't sound like Lil Wayne back in the days ?

To think otherwise is moronic imo

Carter II Wayne is better than Tech N9ne. Lil Wayne didn't have as many or as crazy flows but he could flow pretty well himself. You might hate his voice but you can't deny he had a great delivery and his energy at least matches Tech's. And while he might not be as good a rhymer he was a much better lyricist than Tech N9ne is.

Because other people have gotten warnings for literally the exact same type of posting, we have to be consistent, otherwise it creates a problem.

That's now off-topic though, if it's that much of an issue, you can PM me.

Could you please respond to my post a second ago about your line criticisms. I feel it was actually on topic aside from the wayne shit haha. Wayne was never a better lyricist than tech but that is a much broader argument than we are obsessing over atm.

Lirically, Lil Wayne was miles ahead of tech n9ne :facepalm
