Literature must be a fucking nightmare for you man. YOU give up.

You think remedy is a weird word. I'm dying to know how old you are. Not as an insult but I really think it'll help the situation

I know what the words mean. They're all incredibly awkward when used in that context. Appointed? You appoint someone to an office. You appoint a vice president or a treasurer. You don't appoint a music critic. I mean I GUESS you could use it that way if you wanted to but it's just bad word choice. Same with all the other words.

lol Lil Wayne had better lyrics than tech, there's nothing subjective about that.

You cant claim to have credible judgement on the art of emceeing and say Wayne was never nice. You're basically admitting you don't really love hip hop. Unfortunately the past 3 years have destroyed his current reputation so people are gonna try to rewrite history like they do when all the greats fall off.

Past 3 years? More like past 5 years at least. And yes, it's subjective. Lol at judgment on the art of emceeing. Tech on KOD or Anghellic was at least as good as Wayne was on The Carter 2. Rhymes, melodies, subject matter, originality..

Has Kendrick and Wayne worked together?

Twice, when he was young (mixtapes)=p

Actually, Wayne used to be one of his mentors, he was always in the studio with Jay Rock and Kdot :y:

I'm a listener. That's all I need to be. If you're going to sit here and say "When a foe scribed a line" isn't terrible wording then you're just blinded by your desire to defend Tech N9ne. Tech N9ne is a bad lyricist and no one in this thread has said anything that proves otherwise other than making poor attempts to explain bad lines.

And yes, Wayne is a better lyricist than Tech N9ne. At least he made sense.

If I don't get it somebody gonna die tonight
I know my vibe is tight
And I deserve the throne and if the kid ain't right
Then let me die on this song, see I be riding just riding alone
With my daddy on my mind like you gotta be kidding
How the hell you ain't here to see a prince do his thing
Sometimes I wanna drop a tear but no emotions from a king

The 'these words aren't used much therefore they completely suck and are nonsensical' argument was stupid itself.

Now people claiming Wayne is better than Tech.

I can hear the Lil Wayne influence in Kendrick Lamar, definitely.

I hope your talking about the flow/cadence, don't come here and say that they have the same lyrics, because I know you and your passion for the boy Image

Remedy is also a weird word to use. Remedy to the negativity from critics? If he has the remedy why does he have the problems he says he has in this verse?

Like I said, SHOULD provide a remedy to their negativity, but it isn't working.

This is probably his worst line though. Foe? How are any critics his foes? They aren't in a battle. And then to use the word scribe? This isn't ancient Egypt. They aren't "scribing" lines.

Foe - Antagonist:

A person who actively opposes or is hostile to someone or something

Scribe - Verb = Write

I think those are good choices of words.

No they're not. A foe is an opponent. Someone you would be having some kind of competition against. Critics aren't his foes. Maybe Tech doesn't like them but I promise the critics don't have some kind of grudge against him. They aren't really his foes. And scribes copied down books and made records. Scribe can't just be substituted with write and mean the same thing.

@big

you should listen to their indie albums/mixtapes

Ab-Soul - Control System
Schoolboy Q - Habits & Contradictions
Jay Rock - Follow Me Home

but all of them will release their first studio album this year or in 2014 :y:

Class, you don't know that a lot of critics called Tech a devil worshipper and a satanist right? And mostly judged his persona before judging his music? And that's why he's calling them foes.

That has nothing to do with your personal interpretation.

My 9 year old little brother is a listener. That doesn't mean he has any intelligence or credibility. Any idiot can be a listener it does not mean they are right or know what they are taking about. Honestly there is no way you read books or poetry or anyfuckingthing other than TRshady and are caught up by those phrases. Read the Illiad. Your brain will fucking explode.
