red and method are 3 & 4 for my top 5 rappers, but I find method VERY inconsistent. like his music is more bad than it is good. as in NOT wu-tang though. his solo albums. tical is really the only one that i LOVE.

yeah exactly. and then you listen to a song like Cereal Killer on blackout, and makes you wonder what happened... coulda been a LEGEND. that album was (in my opinion) kinda changed rap for those who appreciated red and meth at that time.

This...

Meth was consistent at high level for years back when he was active... he's past his prime as he's been here for too long but he was a beast when it was about his generation of rappers. He's one of the very few rappers who's been successful as/with 3 different music acts too.

I would put Tical over a lot of albums in general, but like I said- take out the wutang, Blackout was a classic- then what. Just a bunch of guest features and decent songs on some albums. Idk. He seemed to go more pop after all that.

Meth has had a fairly long rap career, done a lot of stuff, so not everything he does is going to be great. But Tical, Enter the 36 Chambers, Wu-Tang Forever, that's classic material. Meth's status is good.

Like i said... him and red r 3 & 4 on my list. I just wish I had more straight up method man material (solo) that is like his classic stuff. but i guess you guys are right, his discography is decades long with LOTS of material. was looking for a different answer but I guess thats aight.

yeah i'll go ahead and agree. I mean i guess everyone drops off their peak eventually, I just kinda saw it as "he's A LOT better than these rappers now-a-days" but then again he shined in his glory days. but its just like now he's not even mentioned. I'd love to hear a reference to one of them in some of the popular music (even though I don't listen to any of it). I'd just be happy for some odd reason. Grew up listening to red and meth. before even eminem was a fackin thought.
