i'm confused. i keep listening to this kendrick verse but i feel like i'm missing the part that's blowing everybody's mind here. the lyrics are better than the other guys, that's for sure, but his flow is very simple, as well as his rhyme schemes here. And his delivery sounds like he just smoked 14 cigarettes.

Someody please fill me in here. I want to feel this like all of you seem to. :'(

The lyricism is not on some next level shit, if that's what you're wondering.

But the message is what was the most important thing....the straightforwardness....

DAAMN!
Oh okay word, I can see that. Thanks :y:

kendrick can be an amazing lyricist but as revo said, the lyricism wasn't on some next level shit on that particular song but the way he kicked that shit, his flow, everything was crazy and it made people think that it was the potential best guest verse of the year.

Dude speaking the truth with a crazy delivery and flow

So what the heck is going on here? I get home and see Control came out, listened to Kendrick's verse (which was pretty good btw) and everyone is going bonkers? :o

No it wasn't  That flow was very ordinary. And his delivery was just a slight yell. The fuck are you listening to?

You people need to understand how monumental this verse is. I dude from Compton just called himself the King Of New York then dissed half the game. And it wasnt just a nobody looking for attention it was the hottest rapper in the game. The fact that he's confident enough in himself to even say that is what makes the verse so amazing. Then the only people responding are underground rappers with no buzz who has nothing to lose. All the mainstream rappers know they can't fuck with Kendrick and won't respond for fear of getting embarrassed. That also adds to just how insane the verse is and how dominate Kendrick has become.

The only ones who think this verse is ordinary are the guys who never liked kendrick, no surprise here...
it's like me, I feel like tech n9ne's flow is forgettable on every single song minus Low

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

it's crazy how he managed to murder sean and Jay Electronica ( who is talked as A GOAT) with a verse that isn't even amongst his best verses and it's becoming one of the most important verses of this generation

Kendrick won in every single way and underground artists are buzzing :smoking:

Even krit admitted that it gave me a lot of promotion and this is a good thing because he fucking deserves it.

"“Rap, Hip Hop has always been mad competitive,” K.R.I.T. said Tuesday. “It's exciting because it was probably crazier for his fans, for him to mention my name among rappers that people would consider top tier, [rappers] people kind of look at as being the future and my name just randomly popped up. So what I got an opportunity to see a little bit last night and this morning, was just people that probably never tweeted me before, whether it be negative or positive. For me, it was like, ‘Thank you for the promotion.’"
